About Me

Official photo of Dhwani Ghanshani, creator of Literary Pop™ and singer-songwriter.
Hi! I’m Dhwani Ghanshani, a 14-year-old singer/songwriter exploring the world through music and words. I’ve trained my voice through choir and operatic lessons, and I’ve been fortunate to perform with the All-Region Choir, which taught me discipline, control, and the joy of connecting with an audience. Through Choir, I’ve had the pleasure of receiving many solos.
As a songwriter, I’m part of the NSAI Community and have received multiple One To Watch accolades. I write what I see, feel, and sometimes can’t say out loud—turning fleeting moments, heartbreak, hope, and the quiet intricacies of growing up into literary pop songs.
I write pop songs, specifically Literary Pop, a self-proclaimed genre. Literary pop blends catchy melodies with poetic, story-driven lyrics. It turns personal experiences, emotions, and fleeting moments into songs that feel like short stories. Cinematic arrangements and emotive vocals bring the words to life, creating music that’s reflective, relatable, and immersive.
Music for me is storytelling: it’s about capturing small details, cinematic imagery, and emotions that linger long after the song ends. I want listeners to feel like they’re stepping into a moment, a feeling, or a memory that’s both personal and universal.

WHAT IS
Literary Pop™?
Literary Pop is more than a genre — it’s a feeling. It lives in the quiet between poetry and melody, where words ache to mean something and music listens closely.
Born from my love of literature and songwriting, it’s pop that’s lyrics read like a novel: cinematic, confessional, and a little bit haunted by language. It’s the red velvet warmth of memory, the hum of a late-night sentence, the ink on your sleeve that refuses to fade.
For me, Literary Pop is not just music. It’s encapsulating a lifetime of stories into a 3 minute song. It’s the sound of growing up in real time. Unapologetically, imperfectly, and beautifully human.

- A Letter To Myself, Before It All BeginsThere’s a unique kind of kismet you feel when everything just… clicks. It doesn’t arrive all at once—it comes gloriously and wondrously, in bits, pieces, puzzles, and clues leading you toward who you are. Almost fourteen years ago, in the depths of a London unraveling, a girl was born—unaware of what, or who, she would become.… Read more: A Letter To Myself, Before It All Begins
